Forget for a moment about TPG grades ... net mintage figures ... price ... the following 'slideshow' is a reminder to me to just enjoy the beauty of the coins without all the 'collecting stuff' that sometimes gets in the way. Here is my current classic silver commemorative type set ... coin-by-coin. Hoping you take 2 minutes and enjoy the show ... focus here is on the coins. http://s750.photobucket.com/albums/...ew=slideshowEnjoy David

I enjoyed every beautiful coin, and a few I have never seen before. Very nice.

It is a great show, wonderful to see. I was able to compare some of mine to yours and was able to erase what I had thought as wear to strike or design issues. Your Antietam remains my favorite coin of your set.

Great post David, as always. I wish there was more interest in these coins. They have so much meaning in our heritage as a country. Their finite numbers does dictate a finite number of collectors, however. I hope to fill at least one of my remaining two slots in the near (relative term) future.
Your collecting buddy PG.

Thanks for the kind replies. It should be obvious from the slideshow the coins I still need to upgrade ... wishing I knew years ago what I know now. Goal of this set ... simply stated ... " A complete 50-coin MS type set of well struck, white to very limited toning coins ... all in PCGS holders and CAC approved". Still working to seal that deal ... enjoying every minute of the search ... and truly appreciate the opportunity to share my current set with all of you. Best David

Bookmarked! I did not know we had a colour coin for the Cincinnati Commemorative. I hope you get that one soon. The frowny face looks out of place with all that classic silver.

David, THAT is impressive! Not only the quality of the coins (fantastic!) but the slide-show format is really nice! (I'm also glad to see your Texas Half is at least as nice as the perfect 1936D one you sold to me!) Nice job, my friend!

I should learn to spell commemorative first though.
