Looks like it could be an older set of play money. Is there anything on the other side?

The back is the same as the front on all the coins and they are metal.

Interesting. Maybe old arcade tokens or something like old county fair tokens.

probably before arcades- possibly a gambling parlour/saloon set.

I'd have to venture and say gaming tokens. Probably early 20th century, or a shy earlier.

If they were merchant they'd most usually have some sort of identifiable or unique device or legend.
