I think you did fine. Anytime I can pick up a slab for less than $5 with shipping I enjoy the deal, and I love picking up slabbed moderns just because I think it's fun.

In fact...

You would think the TPGs would identify copper or zinc on the 2009 cents...

Very nice slabbed cents! I think you did quite well for the price. I agree not sure why the conn. quarter was sent in. But none the less some one picked it up.

Nice buy. Nothing wrong with high grade modern slabs at those prices. I wouldn't go too crazy as they are plentiful but always nice to have a few in the collection.

If you get it slabbed now...it will still grade its current grade 100 years from now....don't you wish you had some slabbed coins from early 1900s! (yes I realize they didnt' do that then)....I think its a good idea to get modern coins slabbed if you have the money to blow...
Rest in Peace

How retail has changed.

Used to be, you'd sell a common proof cent for 50ยข, or break the set for the higher denominations and <shudder>spend</shudder> the cent.

Now you pay $30 to have the cent slobbed, so you can sell it for $3.50, less shipping, ebay and PayEnemy fees.

And the slobbing companies making millions would have you believe this is an intelligent way to spend your collecting/investing dollars.

I think you did very well.I believe I would have picked them up myself at those prices. You may not be able to cash in on them now,but somewhere down the line you will have a great deal to brag about.....you'll be telling people all about how you picked up a PF69 2000s deep cameo for only $3.50
