I have a 1876H large cent NGC graded as MS65 RB. Compared to other MS 65 large cents, the fields appear to be smoother and the head is non-reflective, like a dull cameo. The letters on the reverse are very sharply struck. Charlton does not specify what a SP finish is like in this age coin and I am wondering how to evaluate it (besides sending it to ICCS).

The incomplete letters "D" match no die known to mint 1876 specimen quality cents. This article may help.
