I have a Barber dime that says 1804. Not sure if this is a misprint or not. It doesn't look like the 0 was ever anything else that has been altered but it very well may be as I am not a pro at this I really cannot tell. Any help would be great.
Thank you.

can you get a closeup of the date?

EDIT - the 9 on Barber dimes weren't wide open, so that possibly is 1904

The extensive damage pushed a lot of metal around, which I think explains the appearance of the date.

I agree its supposed to be a 1904 but I just don't see how all that damage could have caused the 9 to look like that
