Hi guys,

Have been doing some research and know there are a whole bunch of dodgy Centenary of Federation $1 "upset" coins but I haven't been able to identify if my one is also some sort of mistake or whether someone has gone to the trouble of polishing all the detail from it. Either way, a lot of detail doesn't seem to be there and around the edge of the coin there are none of the usual groves.

I've attached pics of both sides and the edge. The one on the left is the standard centenary of federation $1 coin. The one on the right is my oddity.

If anyone has any information on what this might be, or if its a fake? I'd love to know.

Cheers
Steve

but Try again and you will sort it out; Have a close look at http://www.coincommunity.com/forum/...g_images.asp and http://www.coincommunity.com/forum/...-resizer.asp links at top of posting window.

By the way are you related to Studebaker? Obscure reference that may be understood by Frank Zappa fans and car nuts. If you are both a fan and a nut and don't understand the reference then, shame on you.
