Hi people,

I'm new to these forums having recently discovered a coin collection I inherited when I was younger. I managed to identify the majority of the coins however due to the language on this coin I've been having trouble finding out where it's from, let alone what it actually is.

If anyone is able to help out I'd greatly appreciate it.

India Princely State of Baroda.
Looks like a 2 Paisa but can't reconcile the date (in Sanskrit). Possibly VS1941 or VS1949 (1884 or 1892).

And welcome to the forum.

Original posting.

2 Paisa Y#32.1

2 Paisa Y#32.2a

I wonder if the posting from maxcummins is a new variety?
As you'll see the style of lettering is like the Y#32.1 but they only list VS1940 and VS1941.
The Y#32.2a has a different style but includes VS1949. It also notes varieties in size and weight.
Intriguing.
