I am looking for some basic simple websites and links that would be about beginning coin collecting. The more that can be found the merry it will be.

Start with the ANA.org
I am sure that others will make suggestions.
Also, have you purchased any reference books yet?
Start with " The Guide Book of US coins" by R.S. Yeoman, edited by Ken Bressett.
Then: A Dummy's Guide to Coin Collecting.
Also: Scott Travers has a couple of good books.
Decide what you want to collect, then buy the reference for that series.
Good Luck.

I'm sure there are plenty, but this is the best place on the net for beginners right here.

Ask anything you want, there are no stupid questions, except the ones that don't get asked.

Yuo'll get all the answers you need right here!

Welcome to our CC family!

We all love to help other collectors, so please ask any questions you have. Your questions and the answers will also help other new collectors. Even with this forum as a resource, though, you should consider buying some reference books. Many are very reasonably priced.

Welcome Stephen, your first step in gathering information was a good one by stopping here and asking the question. It shows that you are using your head, and I hope it leads to additional questions that we can be of some assistance in helping you with. Ask away!
