All of us have some coins we are truly proud of, weather they be sentimental, valuable or just plain beautiful. Here is you chance to show us all your top 12 classic US coins. Get your sets out, choose you top 12 and photo then.

Starting Monday December 12 every one is encouraged to share the coin that would be the twelfth on their list, December 13 their eleventh choice and progressing to December 23 for their all time favorite American classic coin.

All members are welcome to post their classic US coins. It could include your first dateless Buffalo nickle because it got you started in collecting to you most treasured classic gold. Let's have some fun and show your stuff over this broad selection of US coins.

I was building a list, but I didn't see the classic coins part. I will need to revise my list.

I may just start with my favorite Half Cent, then next day my favorite Large Cent, then 2 cent, 3 cent, nickel/half dime, etc.

I don't have fond memories of Feb 29. That day was the last time I broke a leg. Left leg, snow skiing, in 1980

Thanks Muddler - what a great idea! Between this thread and the bust half dollars I may be very busy. Maybe it's time to start using those 300+ days in my sick day bank!

I like Moe's idea of progressing from Half Cents and up.

Narrowing it down to 12 coins is going to be the tough part deciding between 12 and 1 is just not going to be possible....
