Hi cardman,

Some of these may have a value, others none. With a lot of these king george V1 australian pennies there is big mintage figures making them worth little. A few of the years have some die variations which make them a bit more scarce.
With the 1948 penny you need to check if there is a small dot after the Y in penny at the bottom of the reverse. This means you have a 1948Y penny which is a scarcer coin. Its very hard to tell from your picture but from what I can see the 1948 may be anywhere from F to VF maybe better. Catalogue value of this coin is F-$6, VF-$32 and if its a bit better EF-$150 (AU$). If it doesn't have the dot its not worth much.
From the pictures I can see a fairly nice looking 1941 which is probably EF-aUNC but again hard to tell from the picture. With this one you need to look for KG on the reverse. It will be just above the end of the kangaroos tail. If there is a dot between the K&G then you have a slightly rarer type. EF-$110, aUNC$225. If it doesn't have the dot then EF-$45, aUNC-$95.
I think these two coins are probably worth checking and putting aside.
Hope this helps.

Unfortunately you could probably pick these up on ebay for about $5.

Thank you enworb, the 1948 dose have the small dot after the word penny..the 1941 is in really great shape except for the K G..LOL that is really hard to see even under a glass..i will have to do some more checking on that one..hard to beleive that the K G is so worn compared to the rest of the coin..and again thank you for your help...
