Can anyone tell me where to find info on the population of morgan vams and wat are the finest known examples? Any info would be greatly appreciated. I have an 1883 cc VAM 5a in a gsa holder, I think would grade 63 maybe 64. I also have a couple others I would like to know about. Unfortunately I ave to sell some. My family and bills are far more important than my addictive hobby.

Vamworld ( https://www.vamworld.com ) has pop estimates for some of the VAM's listed there. Both NGC and PCGS publish pops for the VAM's they attribute, but they don't attribute them all. I don't know if ANACS publishes pops.

Neither Heritage, Vamworld or NGC have any help for you. A VAM-5A in an ANACS MS63 holder sold for little or no premium last summer at Heritage.

NGC is the only major grader which makes pop reports available to the public, but they don't attribute that VAM so it won't show anyways. Heritage's auction archives (free membership to access the archive) shows both PCGS and NGC pops for a given sale, but it still won't help for the VAM.

You could hit Vamworld and drop Rob Joyce or Jack Lee an email with your specific question; they might have a clearer picture of the actual value/rarity of your coin.
