I don't understand how adding a serial number to a P puck would deter the bulk orders from dealers. The Mint is in business to SELL products not to LIMIT their sale. They did not sell out on the first day of sale so everyone had (has) a chance to order all they want....

There is nothing (other than cost) stopping anyone from ordering any number of p pucks they want. I got my 3 and they all look perfect to me..

I guess I don't understand the rant. Since I can buy these straight from the mint, I don't see how the big companies buying and grading of their coins impacts my purchases at all. I am able to buy all I want from the mint, and can pick and choose which coin I decide to keep. Simply because I can't buy 100's doesn't mean much of anything to me - other than I am poor...

Funny. But the next coin is 2 days away. It is so odd they are grouped so close together. At least the next to have some time between.

It would be nice if I could estimate my total US Mint bill at the beginning of the year and pay against it in equal monthly installments all year to help spread things out. Overrun, put it towards next year. Under run, I write a check for the difference. Kind of like mortgage escrow or auto insurance. My annual expenditure on the mint is fairly constant, but there would be the occasional spike... 25th ASE set, Kennedy 50th set.... etc.

Wishful thinking, but it would be nice.

I don't think they will do that (like the electric company!) but you can just start to do the savings yourself. Any month that you currently don't buy all you allow for purchases, keep aside for future. You might be able to help spread it out that way.

Subs for Arches hit today, showing a rolling forward backordered date of 6-26. Some breathing room at last, GSD-P isn't going to debut until 8-28. How many people with subs are going to cancel after Arches to skip GSD and re-subscribe for Everglades (ETA 11-06, FYI)?

I wondered that as well about Sand Dunes. Maybe one just to have but nothing for gifts for me.

Hopefully no problems with doing that while subscribed.

Just a question on subscriptions. A friend of mine has one and is trying to have it delayed a couple days (being shipped) because he will not be at home if shipped in the next few days (only away a couple days) How does he get it delayed, Mint says it will not go out but hasn't formally delayed it. THANKS

From what I can tell, the Mint is about 2 weeks behind orders...so, subscriptions will be placed now..orders will ship out by the end of June..heck, you can't beat the price at only 139.99..I get 3...previous orders have been very nice, with no returns...

@angel: have your friend call the 800# and request a manual hold if the order is in process. It can be taken out of the queue as long as the cancel boxes are still showing. The max time it can stay on hold safely is about 2 weeks, before it gets targeted for an auto cancel. He'll have to call and talk to a customer service rep again once he's back and ready to have the hold removed. This year all my subs are averaging 10-12 days from the time of order creation to the time the order is actually shipped out, so the original backorder date of 6-26 is not far off the mark. My situation is slightly different than other subscriptions, all of my orders go to a USPS PO box which usually seems to add 1-2 days additional processing time than orders going to a street address. Hope that helps.

Thank you so I guess he will keep calling. Called today and the mint said 2 weeks but I know from my experience that when I have ordered over the phone they say 2 weeks but sometimes they come before and sometimes after. Hopefully they won't ship since it is only a few days not even the whole week. The person that was spoken to at the mint took forever to even get to the point that there was nothing that could be done today.

Now it says on the mint site avail for shipping June 19. If that's the case no problem.

...or if he is going out of town for a few days just have him have his mail held "for a few days" and he can pick everything up when he returns. No issue with messing up the Mint shipping schedule that way...

Arch-P opened at 21,301, stronger than Shenandoah, which stands at 23,611 after a month of sales. Has anybody had their Arches subscription sent yet?
