I received my new P puck a couple of days ago. It looks pretty good except there is a black micro thread in the capsule. Smaller and thinner than an eye lash but you can see it. Would you return this coin or keep it? I really don't think it hurts the coin any. I guess I could open the capsule and blow it out. I will keep the coin I am sure and just leave it the way it is.

All my coins have the small lint particles...their so common, I don't even notice them anymore...for perfection, yes, use your canned air, cotton gloves, and clean, and put in a new, clean airtite....these lint strings are sticky, due to static electricity, and, tend to cling to the airtites like glue.

I wouldn't worry too much about the vapor blasted pucks with the lint particles inside the OGP capsule. Easiest thing to do is just open the capsule and use canned air. Keep the coin if it looks good otherwise.
FYI, Provident is noting that Arches bullion 5oz. is sold out. May have tried to place another monster box order and got this information. Distribution total is 22,000, just tad over the 20,000 of Hawaii and Denali.

Got 9 Arches..PCGS MS69 DMPL First Strike......my Arches were a steal at $196.35 each...It's kinda sad to have to buy PCGS coins, and not NGC, but, they seem to hold and resell for higher..it is what it is...sidebar..ALL my Arches have significant doubling in ARCHES..clockwise...while 99 certain it is Machine Doubling, there are areas of notching, due to the amounts of metal involved with the shift..I'm going to send 1 in, and see if I can get a Doubled Die out of it...it mAY be a complex mix of different classes of doubling, as seen in Eisenhower dollar coins, where 2 or more events CAN lead to a Variety listing...worth a shot, as NO DDO-DDR in 5 ounce ....YET...

Since these are struck 2x..maybe 3x...MDD is not uncommon...this shows ONLY on ARCHES, and, is nowhere else, on either side...something was loose in the collar...the rims are normal...we'll see what PCGS says...may send 1 to Anacs too, as they dig into DDO's better than PCGS...

At least 6 more years of reading AND commenting, Teach. We are just four releases away from being in the exact middle of the schedule and halfway though the series. Who would've thunk it 6-7 years ago people would be buying silver discs today directly from the US Mint and other bullion resellers as a collectible? Incredible.

I had to have a puck as soon as I first heard of them. I really enjoy seeing the designs on these bigger coins. So much better for viewing. You miss a lot of the design unless you are using a magnifying glass.I kind of wish they would do a puck for each denomination once. I would really like to see a 5 oz. ASE.

I wish they would do a true proof...and, a reverse proof...and, of course, how about a 5 Oz. Gold ATB...

Can't they "Re-Open" the minting process on these? I was under the assumption if orders poured in, they fill to max? Someone help me find more info on this please. While this thread focuses on the SP versions, I am new to bullion versions, and, from what I read in here, some of the 2014's may be very low mintages...as stated, I have boought some PCGS versions...from what(little) I know about these, any purchases from the usual sources would be "seconds", of lower quality, as these dudes have sent off the best to be graded, and, are dumping the "leftovers"...thus, the graded purchases so far..if anybody has a great source for high-quality bullion ATB's, feel free to post. Ty Calvin

It's good to have just one thread we can go to for the pucks. Hopefully they will mint the entire series and I don't have to ask that question again. On a side note I removed my subscriptions this week. Sure did enjoy the discounts while they lasted.
