Saw someone post on another site that they have now sold 102.5 K bullion pucks. Should be interesting to see how the first day sales go for the P puck tomorrow.

I think it will be the usual 12-13k give or take from the subscriptions and those who buy them regardless the price of silver.
We'll know by next week, but I am not expecting any surprises.

Saratoga sold just over 17k the 1st week...I would think the Shawnee would be right around 15-16k or a tad more

Alot of people must be buying these from the ap I'm wondering if that will have an effect on fewer people buying the P it would be fantastic to see the final mintage under 16.8 K

I don't know what the first part means but I would really doubt that, with a mintage limit of 30k, this puck will end up that low. It could be near that number (16.8k) after week one...

I'm sure "hollywood" meant 'authorized purchasers' with 'ap'; i.e. bullion dealers.
There are probably quite a few out there who don't really care about the surface finish of the coin and buy whatever is cheaper. If bullion prices come close to the P release then some may buy the latter because you also get the coin packaged with a certificate. At the moment you can treat your family for lunch for the difference, hence this P release may suffer the same fate as Homestead.
It is highly unlikely though sales will be less than 16.8k. Sales between 20-25k would be more reasonable to assume.

I had a look at prior P sales - the average across all is just shy of 21.5k. This suggests there are probably some 5k hardcore collectors who have bought every single release thus far with the rest being sold to either latecomers to the series or "I like the design" casual buyers. But who really knows... I'd be interesting to find out!

Correct...I just didn't pick up on it. If it was "AP" it would have been obvious...

No biggie....

I heard the new P puck sold 14,369 on first day of sales. Lower than any first day sales last year. Only one puck came close on first day of sales, that was the Bombay puck at 14,443. The other 4 ranged from 15.2 to 17 K. Also the bullion pucks are up to 105 K now.

I'd only worry and buy now if they minted 15,000 and that was all they decided to mint. I'm guessing that they had as many for Saratoga on hand as last time (17,000) and it should take awhile to get to that point. On the other other hand it could be the next Homestead-P and last all year. The announced 30,000 max obviously put a damper on initial sales.
