I think that the 2017 Ellis Island coin will probably do well, not because of he design but because so many American families can trace their lineage through there. I think the George Rogers Clark design will look kick-*** in the 5oz versions. I have only collected the P-version coins from the mint but I have them all (through enrollment). Some of them have fared well especially the Hawaii Volcanoes from 2012. There were some start up issues but virtually every coin I have received since mid 2011 has been perfect. I have to wait until next month for the P-mark TR.

The Shawnee P puck is nearing the 'unavailable' status (again) - presently 51 left.

Foxwoods, any evidence that someone cherry picked through the roll, or do you think it was unopened as shipped from the mint?

It would be good business practice to open each roll to confirm what is inside.

I prefer ordering rolls from companies that do not send coins for grading (like Provident and some others) rather than APMEX or MCM that do submit.

If someone wanted to replace the tape that would be an easy task.

One thing to keep in mind...they are meant to be just bullion and are stacked on top of each other in the tube. I'm also sure that they are not gingerly placed in these tubes at the Mint either. There is a reason there are next to zero 70 grade coins out there.

I don't stack or collect the bullion version (except for several high graded ones) and I never ordered a tube of these but I always wondered about that (whether the tape could be easily removed and re-applied).

I ordered a roll of Rushmores back when they came out. The cap wasn't taped. It was fit so tightly in there that I had to use a screwdriver to pry it out. I'm pretty sure that's how they come.

Similar to the ASE rolls from the Mint, they are distributed with one piece of reinforced tape sealing the lid on the tube.
