It almost makes me cry seeing coins subjected to physical abuse such as this one. Yet it is already selling for a significant premium...
It takes a lot of ignorance to treat a coin like this. Granted, I have a 1 oz silver 2017 Britannia as a coffee book surrogate, but I bet despite inevitable finger prints and toning it will look better than this one - ever.

"Mishandled?!" More like someone played ice hockey with it. What a crime.

Now this one on the other hand, is pretty darn cool. Not sure about the price tag tho.

That banged up puck might be a little too large for a pocket piece. :) It does look like someone used it as a puck.....

According to bullionexchanges, these are the ATB bullion release dates for 2017:
Effigy Mounds - Feb06
Frederick Douglass - Apr03
Ozark - Jun05
Ellis Island - Aug28
George Rogers Clark - Nov13

I'm surprised not a single dealer has started pre-selling Effigy Mounds. It happened about a month before release date with the last few ATB bullion coins. Maybe dealers fear silver will make a giant leap north which would leave them paying the difference if they sell to customers now but have to pay the mint a higher price come Feb. Well, who knows...

Or maybe the dealers know that no one likes the animal cracker puck design?

Must of sold those 3 because they are currently unavailable again. I guess they will be unavailable until they find 5 other ones to sell. Do you think they are just selling returns as they come back in?

There are still no ATB P pucks on the schedule which was just updated to include Feb 2017:
https://catalog.usmint.gov/product-...le/?view=all
I guess there are delays for both the bullion and numismatic versions.

Sounds like a delay. I thought the first coin was supposed to be the beginning of Feb
