The kid in the Ellis coin looks like a robot lol. I am happy to pass on all of these until there are more animals.

If I had to choose between a 20k robot and a 40k turtle I would go with the robot every time...

Quote: That's a good choice. As much as I like turtles, they're not appropriate for a War in the Pacific coin. I too agree, but that one soldier is on the ground and ready for anything and the other looks like he hasn't a care in the world. Maybe it should have been at least a running for cover pose for him. I hope they use that turtle I liked for something else someday.

Any you can see the bottom of the landing vehicle's track, yet the lethargic soldier is walking in the water.

Let's see. It's 2017 and the coin will be produced starting in 2019. They could fix it, but we are talking about the government here.

They are not even the teenage mutant ninja ones. Just normal turtles. That silliness aside, I do like the turtle, I just do not see how it is relevant for that theme.

Purchased my Ellis P-puck today. Only one more and the 2017 ATB issues are (mercifully) over. Of course that's just my opinion, and the Ozark design was very nice, but the rest have just been blah.

Quote: I sure hope that the US Mint creates another multi quarter design series right after America the Beautiful it has been exciting Thanks. The current legislation allows the Treasury to order a second round of the ATB Quarters, taking us through 2033.

Well, you have to do at least another four to finish out the first round.

After months of no updates, the US Mint announced that 30,900 George Rogers Clark National Historical Park BULLION coins were minted. I'm not sure how these mintage figures are set, but I assume it is based on demand/pre-orders by authorized purchasers? This year, we've had anything from 20-40k. And I do think Ozark is one of the most beautiful of all ATBs coins minted thus far, although mintage figures of both 5oz silver coins suggest there is something wrong with my taste... ;)

I will go out on a limb here and say this is just the initial minting...could be another 40k item which is still better than the 126k+ of some other issues
