I wonder when the mint will ship. I always though the bullion came prior to uncirculated

Apparently the White Mountain bullion have been selling briskly over at APMEX, their first allocation of 500 (that's how many they were allowed to buy due to some complicated distribution formula by the Mint.) One monster box still available, 17 of the 10-coin tubes and only 40 of the single coins. The page just went up 2 days ago to alleviate the pent-up demand plus the casual collectors/flippers/stackers are once paying attention to this series after being caught unawares by the sellouts.

This year is unlike last year that the ATBs are allocated to APs first and then to everyone else (Provident falling in this category), so I ordered a pair of coins from APMEX. The allocation restriction might be lifted for Perry's Victory once the pent-up demand is fulfilled.

Hey Bizy....thanks for the info. that is good to stuff to know. BTW.....I cancelled my mint subscriptions, I had 2, decided it wasn't worth paying the extra for shipping, I will just bundle my purchases in the future.

Lots of good/interesting coins but just no money.
Why does the mint like to squeeze my wallet around this time every year?
I have been missing out on this series for a while now. I will have to try to get back or stop follow the series (like the First Spouse Gold series) but I do like this series (as well as the FSG series)...... more $$$$ needed.

California participate in the Powerball lottery now, cost me $1.... wish me luck!

I got my Chaco yesterday - I have to say the frosted finish looks much better in hand than any pictures I've seen. I also got the 2013 silver proof set and I am pretty happy with both! I guess I am in for the rest of the 5 ox series if they keep them around $180.

From the MintNewsBlog.......

Bullion Release

On May 13, 2013, the United States Mint began sales of the bullion version of the 2013 White Mountain Five Ounce Silver Coin. This version does not carry a mint mark and features a brilliant finish, often appearing as proof like. The bullion coins are distributed through a network of authorized purchasers based on the market price of silver plus a fixed mark up of $9.75 per coin.

Prior to the release, the US Mint announced that the available supply would be rationed amongst the authorized purchasers, as it was presumably anticipated that demand would exceed the available supply.

Total sales for the bullion version have reached 8,900 coins as of May 14, 2013. The US Mint has not indicated the initial or anticipated production level for this year's bullion releases. The 2012-dated releases had production ranging from 20,000 to 25,400.

They should start bullion pre-orders for Perry soon, maybe as soon as June 3rd, a few days ahead of the P release. Busy & expensive couple of weeks.

I am getting my WM-P tomorrow, along with a '13 Proof ASE and the WP set. Who else is buying?
