So a few months ago, my dad found out that I was collecting coins and he showed me a small stash that he had sort of started himself..I thought it was kind of ironic that he had a collection of coins as well. Its funny how you find out that others collect when you start for the first time. Then I remembered back when he used to take me to the flea market in Nashville when I was little and he bought me a few coins here and there. I went up to the attic and found a few coins here and there, most weren't worth anything, but a few had value. There was even 1 Morgan silver dollar (which I have already sold) just rememberd this story because its been almost a year now since I started collecting. Anyway, moral of the story is to give thanks to your family during this time of year and spend time with everyone. It has a lasting effect for the rest of your lives. I love nothing more than coming home during Christmas to all the love, joy, and fun times of the season! If you don't have family still and can be lonely during the Christmas season, always remember that God is with you and he gave his only son to be born on this earth to die for our sins! Plus you have us here, THE COIN COMMUNITY FAMILY! Which, I must say is truly awesome!

I hope everyone has a blessed and wonderful Christmas

I dunno... it kind of clashes with the Jewish star you're using as an avatar.

Well I'm an atheist but I do support your right to say it and wish it to others. I may not agree with your faith, but I would not interfere with you following it. All I ask is that you don't try to drag me into its activities. I don't take offense when people wish me Merry Christmas because they don't know my beliefs. I will often even echo their wishes because I hope they do have a good time with it.
Rest in Peace

I like your attitude Conder101. It's is probably best to assume that holiday greetings are offered with the best intentions.

So---

Happy Holidays!

Hmmmm...now I'm thinking about holiday stuff....

Every year I hear on the news that somebody puts a gold coin (or two) into the Salvation Army collection bucket. It would be something if everybody from CCF put a coin in -- maybe with a flip marked 'Coin Community Family'. It wouldn't be about the value but about the community -- all of us from all over the place -- joining in to help others.

Condor, I have nothing against you..atheist or Christian alike. I hope EVERYONE has a blessed and wonderful Christmas! Not just certain people. :) This is just my favorite time of the year, because in my religion, the greatest gift in the world is the one that you can't necessarily see with your EYES but know He is there. Just personal and I wont take it any further than that promise! But we all have reasons to be happy and I know that I love being with family and friends and just enjoying being home with a break from all the world and work!
