That is a good price. Verify the slab has not been broken open when it arrives. Common date MS63 pieces can be found for $52 so $42 delivered is a deal.

It looks like the top left side of the slab has been broken or looks that way to me. I guess it goes to show you that one should have the coin in hand when listing it. LOL

Congrats.

There is a crack in the slab at 6 o'clock as well.
Looks like it has been opened.

Very nice deal. You can always use the 7 day return policy if the slab has been tampered with.

Something funny going on here. He has another auction listed where he uses the same picture as the coin you won:

Your auction:
[eBayItem]220901342537[/eBayItem]
and included pic:
I-Scored-!

Another auction by this same seller:
[eBayItem]220903155381[/eBayItem]
And included pic:
I-Scored-!

Since the seller said the auction was for the coin in the picture - how is he listing it again? I hope this was a mistake on his part and not a scam

Yes - please keep us posted. I'd suggest asking the seller about this see if you are getting the coin in the pic.

I caught one of these a few weeks back. I emailed the seller and he thanked me and said he accidentally used the wrong pic. on the second coin. Not sure if it was true but he pulled the second listing. I would definitely email and tell him you expect the coin in the pic.

I decided to have some fun. I sent the seller of both of these auctions the following note:

Quote:
Hi, I noticed coin in this auction was already sold by you in one of your completed/won auctions. So if I win THIS auction - what coin would I be sent?

I will post his reply.

The reply:

You are correct. This item did already sell. I am not sure how it got double listed. Thank you for pointing this out to me.

And the newer auction has been pulled.

Not the most accurate price guide to go by when buying a coin, as was stated above a common date Morgan in PCGS MS-63 condition usually sells for around 50 bucks so you did get the coin cheaper than they usually sell for but you definitely didn't get a steal like you would have if the PCGS price guide was accurate. There are allot of people that do not like these small clacker PCGS holders (myself included) because they do not fit in the PCGS/NGC boxes and they do not stack with the newer slabs either. There used to be an impression that if it was in an old clacker holder it would upgrade but that's not the case anymore, usually if it was a lock upgrade they aren't in the old holders anymore. But I think the old holder and the listing error you found saved you about 8 bucks on the coin which is still a pretty good deal
