I was going through my morgans trying to learn the whole VAM deal when I noticed a die crack in my 1879 morgan but at the end of the die crack it mangled the "A" in states(or at least thats what it looks like)just wondering if there is any sinificance to this.

As managled as is it is I can't be sure its a die crack..More like PMD...Post mint damage...
one thing to note, Die cracks are secondary to vamming attributions, one must first study or observe the Date placement, Mint Mark placement if it has a MM, then clashes ect, before you think of die cracks...its just part of the basic process one follows in order to conclude any particular VAM it could be..
