This a legal tender Kennedy half with an after market laser etched (I'm guessing) Obama overlay. This was probably an AS SEEN ON TV coin offered by a private mint. Here's a link to the Franklin Mint. They also have an Obama coin. ht tp://ww w.obamacoin.net/ |

I found a similar Kennedy/Obama half while roll searching earlier this year. I kept it to save some other poor fool the hassle of having to see Obama on coinage.
Furthermore, we should get all past presidents and other representations of dead people off of coins and get back to using a Liberty likeness.

I've found atleast a dozen of these while roll searching. Have also found about 5-6 Happy New Year 2001 stickered half dollars.
I don't know if anyone listens to Howard Stern, but they have an audio clip of a preacher yelling OBAMA....so whenever we're roll hunting and I find one I yell it out and startle my wife. I find it a lot more amusing than she does.

My brother found one of these coins a few months back. Someone had tried to scratch most of the obverse off but the reverse still has the nice golden quality.

I found one of these that looked almost like an obama sticker on the face I think a 2008
