can't tell from the pic... I look for breast feathers first on the reverse and then lip lines on the obverse.

Need this coin in hand the pictures obviously do not do justice if it has the toning you say, probably MS67 based on what I see here, but need sharper images with different lighting to really tell better.

Quote: this time it's personal Not sure I understand? Coins I sent PCGS that looked like that came back "Questionable Color"...even though I knew it was original toning. Done.

I was swayed by the description you wrote along with the photos, it's really hard to capture these muted toned monsters in a picture. Still was pretty close, most people only send in 1950 and later coins if they already assume a high grade like 66+, I was factoring that in and I have had a couple 50's quarters that look similar in color. I could see the frost lines under in the first set of photos.

@Westcoin- I have a sort of unorthodox Washington quarter Collection going on... I don't even know how it started- but I am putting together a silver gem toned set and frost white clad set. Some of these toned guys are coming from mint sets I'm chopping up and having slabbed. Some are lucky online purchases.

I've only seen a few original Mint Sets and they always have the molted toning with hues of blue, greens and yellows in them, must have used a paper board that was high in sulphur content from the mint. I like it!
