A couple of observations as we get ready to close this thread and move on. I ran out of superlatives so the Gods of Google helped me - Terrific, fantastic, amazing, super, stupendous, outstanding, great, incredible, marvelous, wonderful, fabulous, impressive, extraordinary, magnificent, superb, astounding, tremendous, excellent, exceptional, awe-inspiring, wondrous, phenomenal, super special awesome! For example, I've never seen Standing Liberty quarters with readable dates - I thought these coins came from the mint with blank dates - and you filled them in When we started this thread my expectations were high but never this high - thanks muddler for your inspiration and for leading us! The latest thought that came to mind is - what did we just see in terms of $$$? My personal budget for coins extends to a few hundred dollars each but we just saw many coins worth many thousands of dollars. Anyone want to guess the total dollar value of the incredible show we just experienced?

I could easily say one poster alone has posted in excess of $200,000 in their 12 coins. But that is not the reason for this thread value is great but having beautiful coins and sharing them with us all was the goal and I was extremely satisfied in what was posted. Lastly lets keep this open until after Christmas and see is we find another late poster who would like to show their stuff. Also I would like to leave it open to all for posting (classic US coins) that just did not quite make your top twelve, but could be called honorable mention coins.

It has to be well over $100,000...easy.
Oh, I forgot about him muddler :o Yeah, well over $300,000
BTW, my #1 is not my most expensive....I really love it and that is all that counts ;-)

Just guessing from memory here. $150K? Hmm...That sounds kinda low.
A multitude of rare and stellar coins, but IMO the gold, 1793, 1916 slq and 1856 may have stolen the show... Bravo to all! Truly an exceptional show!
Muddler... You are the man... What a thread!
