Hi guys

Take a look at these pics.

You will see a soldier standing at the cenotaph...He is holding a rifle which is ALWAYS pointed down....The problem is all the years my Father represented the R.H.L.I (Royal Hamilton Light Infantry) at their cenotaph, I have NEVER and I mean NEVER seen a rifle with a "Scope" on it...Designer mistake...?...Or done on purpose...?

It seems like the rifle is more modern, so it could be a short range scope (ACOG).

Either that or just a very unusual codpiece.

The coin depiction is factual. The rifle, the C7A2 is standard issue for our troops and uses the C79 sight. It's not a sniper scope. It has low light LED capabilty for up to 200M and a Magnification capability. For close in (75M or less), the top "iron sight" is used. It can be quickly adjusted for elevation and wind speed and direction.

darryldarryl: Both. So far I've been able to avoid the long gun registry... unlike having to register to collect coins. Now I know who the real 'potential' criminals are.
