Date doesn't look right, surface looks like a cast coin - I think fake. Tried returning your email Don, bad address you gave me and the one from ebay doesn't work either.

Compare you coin with a known good one here, the date doesn't look the same, the numerals are all different, in shape and angle, the numbers don't line up under the denticles the same either.

 Based on your partial photo, there is no chance at all that your coin is genuine. The details are completely wrong and that pebbly grainy surface is a strong indicator that it was cast and not struck.

I'd say a 1980's China counterfeit Morgan. I have a few of those in my collection. The ones I have were purchased in China by a bookseller friend of mine who traveled in China in the 1980's. He bought them from a road-side seller, on a white-clothed table with other items.
They have gotten much better nowadays. China has no shame when it comes to "Knock-offs"
