I was looking forward to seeing your new 1933 d Oregon Trail. From your photo and examination of a few of my types I would say that it is in AU condition. I see some minor hair line, contact nicks, and slight abrasions that I would attribute to handling or "circulating". It looks like wear on the ox and the walking handler of this critter, as well as on the headdress, thigh, and bow tips. A weak strike may attribute to the noted wear but the nicks and small lines show wear.
This still is a great coin of one of the most appreciated designs ever conceived. Being the first Denver striking for a commemorative also seems to give it more value as this date is virtually the same mintage as the 1936 s but commands much more of a premium. This coin is on my wish list. If I were in charge of our mint I would resurrect this design for a commemorative dollar in 2026 but who knows what will happen over the next fifteen years until then.
