Early this morning before dawn I stopped at Timmies in the drive through and picked up food and stuff for the people I was going to meet. I received a pre 81 nickel and this. Won't buy me supper, but it's nice to see it in this kind of condition out in the wild. Just left me wondering how it got there. Did someone dump a new roll at the bank?

Nice find!Hard to imagine someone parting with it willingly.
You must live in a banana belt, for much of the country this time of year, before dawn can be 9AM or later, and after dark is when school lets out.The older I get the stronger the urge to go with the snowbirds.

Yes DBM I agree, it's left me wondering why it was there, not a fingerprint or carbon spot, nothing. It's not showing roll toning either.

LOL@ Banana belt . No I live in the interior of Central Ontario on a decent sized freshwater lake. It gets plenty cold here, I've driven the backhoe on the ice without the least concern. But yes, the concept of dawn at this time of year is radically shifted. I think it was around 5:50am . I've kicked around the idea of heading south but that's more from getting ticked off at hooking the plow on the truck all the time. That gets old quickly.
