Good evening, everybody! I'm planning to sell my proof set 1969, I think it is one of key dates of Australian mint. Anyone can help me please to fund out, that to expect on market? May be it is better to keep it?
This is only set from Australia I have..

There were 12,696 issued of this set, and they were $250 in 2000, so the price seems to hae droped with the internet.

many of the '69 proof sets have quite significant toning (kind of like lots of little spots) of the observe of the 50c coin, from the above pictures it looks like this set does not have this... I think if was something to do with how the case was sealed, but don't really know for sure, it only seems to effect the 50c coin for some reason.
As this set does not have the toning, it would command a price at the upper end of the scale.

I just took out my set to view all coins look perfect with deep cameo no spot at all.
Can anyone tell me why this is considered a key date set?

The Australian proof sets of 1966 to 1974 are much scarcer as a result of lower mintages. No proof sets were made for 1967 or 1968, because the Mint in Canberra was flat out with the production of coinage for circulation after decimalisation in 1966. If these sets come with the foams in which they were packaged, they are valued at a little more.
