There's a loose association of upper-end gold collectors who get together and do this each year. I don't know if the Swiss francs are from them, but there's no doubt the St. Gaudens is.

Yes cool story. Actually people have been putting gold bullion coins In red buckets for years. I remember back when I was still living in Indiana (1990s) every year someone would put a one ounce eagle or a $20 double eagle in. They never found out who it was and gold was much cheaper then.

The media can say what they want about us as a nation, but it still makes me proud to be part of a nation where there are people who do this on a regular basis. Thank God we live in a place where people have excess and are willing to share with those who do not.
