They're high retail, and have 400 employees and a huge customer list, including many people who are outside the traditional coin collector base. You generally get the quality advertised, tho.

Once you know what you're doing, shop around. There's something to be said by paying more and knowing you won't get fakes, overgraded, etc.
After all, paying $20 for a $10 coin is better than paying $10 for a fake. Long term, the real coin may become worth more, the fake won't.

There are much more cost effective and equally reputable places to buy coins such as http://cheapslabs.com

Yes that name in coins comes up frequently. And as already noted on this forum. Unfortuately it is difficult to really know a company if only the complaints are posted. So few people brag about a company but one wrong thing and they yell. As an example lots of bad posts about that place yet they've been in buisness for a long time and have a large staff of employees.

I have ordered coins from Littleton. Many were unique sets or coins that I could not find other places. Delivery and quality was good.

Quote: Unfortuately it is difficult to really know a company if only the complaints are posted. Another problem is the nature of their customers. If a buyer is computer literate, he (rightly or wrongly) can find other sources. It's like the infamous poll of telephone users when only the rich had a phone, thus skewing the results.

I love them but only in the after market. I get them for the same cost as any regular premium ounce. I also like their stack ability.
