YAAAAY so happy my dad just noodled another 20c with a weird no2 in the 20.
This is the second one we now have so hoping it's a stamping error. Will have to compare the 2 coins. The first one was 1974 and this one is 1976. And this one has an extra bit in the middle of the 2. I am pretty sure they would be Cuds or a die failing.
Ha at this rate they appear ever 20years.

Funny thing is, we were just taking about taking the first 20c to the Melbourne ANDA coin fair to see what the dealers thought about it, now we have 2.

Anyway now have to drag out and focus the USB gizmo. Hoping when I zoom in it is actually a Cud and not damage.

I'd say it's PMD, cause could be a few things, looks almost like it's been filed a bit.
life is a mystery to be lived not a problem to be solved

I had another look at it with extra light and it had lines on the two bits that are different the main middle blob doesn't stand up it kinda spread out and is thin so I am going to say it is damage "impact", the blob on the bottom I am not quite sure about, its not flat and its not raised but it has heaps of lines on it.
Thanks for the info,

This one interests me as I have one of these and I decided it was PMD...but not totally convinced. Will put a pic up in the next few days as I am babysitting at the moment.
