I don't think the seller in the first post is deliberately trying to rip anyone off, he's just ignorant of our specialty, despite his name. He saw a term being used on coins that brought big bucks, and figured it applied to his merchandise.
Uncirculated = "not in circulation" to 99% of people on the street. Only coin and note collectors give it a different meaning.
Not much different than people who call to sell 19th century coins "in the original plastic". He needs educated, not condemned.
