Well I received this one today as a surprise gift from my Father.....needless to say I was shocked. The mark near the lip on the obverse that goes back is actually dark toning or carbon.....it's distracting but not an impact spot. What would you grade?

That is a very nice gift from him! I think this will make MS-64. Very nice coin!

Sweet CC! I would give it a MS64 as well. I spy a die crack across the top of TED through the left wing tip.

I think the hit below the eye and on the cheek make it MS 63. I just sold one in an NGC GSA holder very similar marks at 62. A great Coin as a gift! The GSA Holder is a +
