Hi all, several reasons for wanting to know this. Would it also help in detecting fake morgans?

Thanks in advance for your time.

Knowing dead center will be no help. Many dies where misaligned so the center point of the planchet would not be the same on every coin. You will also find coins that are not fully stuck and many come from the set up and strike testing. Die markers are the best thing to look for.

If you'd like, though, tomorrow morning I could probably come up with a fairly accurate answer to that question.

Not really scientific, but in the "eyeball" ballpark.
