This is a 2 maravedis coin, minted in Madrid in 1664.
You were right :)

A very nice 2 maravedis coin of Felipe IV. Obverse: PHILIPPVS · IIII · D · G around a circle containing a bust of Felipe to right. Reverse: HISPANIARVM · Year · REX around a crowned shield with a lion to left right.'M' is the mint. Diameter should be 14mm. Hard to see the last number on the date but a '3' is the most likely - so 1663.
