A little help please.

When I sell this proof set would it be better to break it up and sell the coins separately or sell it as a set.

The half dollar is toned and has several carbon spots. Should it be graded as it is? Should I have it conserved? should I dip it?

The half dollar appears to be at least a cameo, maybe a deep cameo. Any thoughts? With a little luck it could be worth thousands.

The quarter may also be a cameo. Any thoughts?

The Lincoln Cent has some of the dreaded green spots on it. Any thoughts?

I appears to be in the original packaging. I don't have the box.

Thanks for your time and thoughts

I think you should give it to me for Christmas!
I'm normally not a fan of tpg/slabs, but if you have an original cameo half and quarter still in mint packaging and you goal is to sell, I would have them graded. You could be looking at good return (mostly the half). I think original proof sets graded and slabbed as a set are way cool.

Best of luck to you. Thanks for sharing.

Usually a set will fetch more for you broken up. The half does look like it could go cameo but I doubt ultra and with the spotting will get under a 65. It could fetch $500 or more raw and depending on TPG grading probably more. I would remove the plastic to better evaluate the half.

absolutely send it in to get preserved. Once they remove all the haze the contrast will be much richer. I've seen a coin like that go DCAM once it was preserved. That half is probably worth 700-1000 if it's midgrade. I bet it will look much better restored- may be worth even more.

Have them clean up the quarter as well. It'll be worth the investment.

I'm with cc99999. Send the half and quarter exactly as they are to see if the figure they can preserve them, and if they say yes, have them slobbed.
