I hope this belongs here in the new forum layout.

I wish to publicly thank Forum Dad Bobby131313 for his invaluable assistance with the rather special coin I had ending on ebay tonight. Thanks to his gift of making my coin the Auction of the Week here at Coin Community, my auction spent the entire week as the #1 result in a Google search for VAM-47, the attribution assigned to the coin. I received almost 400 hits, far and away my most popular auction ever, and the coin went for almost $500, which is a market-making price for this particular variety and the most money I've ever received for a coin.

I could not possibly be any happier with the outcome, and I strongly feel that Bobby had a significant hand in this result.
Rest in Peace

There's no question but that Bobby's listing my 1882-CC PCGS MS-66 Morgan as Auction of the Week a few weeks ago resulted in not only record numbers of hits (for me), but in receiving an over-the-market price for the coin. You can't beat the service here!

If it weren't for Bobby and Susan, I wouldn't be here and spending what little free time I have on the forum, enjoying every minute of it! I haven't visited another forum in two years except to check out a reference made to one of them on this forum. In fact, come to think about it, if it weren't for CCF, I very likely would have given up on coin forums altogether.

You all are definitely welcome.

This is actually a little perk that we can provide on occasion that was actually just a "side effect" kind of thing that I really wasn't aware of until fairly recently.

It seems that little slot up there has the power to get an ebay listing indexed in the search engines within 36 hours. Most listings don't get indexed until well after they're over, if at all.

But anyway I've commandeered it for myself for a few days as a client's ancients could use some attention.

Rest in Peace

Got me looking at it and I know NOTHING about ancients although I own one (a Constantine coin, ca. 325AD). Interesting little piece of history there in the Antioch coin.
