It would seem to me that if they're developing this to stop drug trafficking, then design it to sniff out the drugs regardless of where they are hidden. A machine could sort out smells that even a dog couldn't.

I wonder if exposing the bills to a vacuum for a short while wouldn't stop the smell. In any case all someone would have to do is vacuum pack them. Maybe carry a wallet full of new singles just to be on the safe side.

I doubt it if the ACLU would agree to let them use it for busting anyone. It could only be used to identify someone that is in possession of currency. Besides what would you rather ride around with, a machine or a good dog?  |

O'brien needs a little feedback too. Eventually they'll just put tracking devices in everything and it'll be uncurrent if you shut it off.  Time don't fly, it bounds and leaps.

He got feedback from Winston: the NWO pukes haven't thought of anything new with the "cashless society." It's been done already. That's why we have tokens, seige money and script to collect.  They have also under-estimated the will of Individuals to not be comodified. Especially in a world where it no longer serves a purpose. In the past the very comodification produced $25 hour jobs on assembly lines stamping out junk. It paid to tolerate comodification. And they have over-estimated technology. All things can be defeated. Chips and gadgets will only amuse techno-geeks for a few fleeting moments as they find a way to defeat them. The "Future Shock" is going to be that not only will people be willing to disconnect from infrastructure--(The only place where chips and gadgets can work), they will long to do so in order to escape from their debts. Rather doubt that 60 year old yuppies are going to try and repay 100k in debt working on the New World Order Cotton Plantation for $8 an hour. [:0] Edited by longnine009

Apparently word GOT OUT so now they have to issue a story to justify what they have been doing? Rumor has it those little strips inside our new generation bills can be scanned when you pass through an unsuspecting doorway in places like airports, hotels, stadiums or where ever they chose to place them. Of course we have been told every little change is about counterfeiting! WRONG!
Haven't you/we noticed a lot more drug arrests or money siezures at airports in the last few years and they NEVER do tell you what tipped them off? And, if they didn't have this sniffing machine, well? How about a scanner to read the little strips inside the bills! Oh yeah, thats all about counterfeiting, I keep forgetting!

Well that would make more sense than a machine with a better sense of smell than a dog.
These things still depend on people staying connected to infrastructure and that, IMO, is becoming less and less likely with each corporation that rips off their employees pension, with each "idea" for fixing social security, with each illegal that penetrates "homeland security" to suppress wages. And now with the new bankruptcy laws, they have all but guaranteed people will be disconnecting from a system that no longer benefits them and hitting the "shadow economy."
I can see it all clearly now... "The new Sloth Czar today announced a new gadget to used in the war on the shadow people in the shadow economy..."

Alright, Longnine009 and I will be forming the new shadow society (notice how I volunteered to be a part)as WE shadows join forces to start a whole new underworld. Hey, sounds good to me! What about our own "Shadow" political party? Well, maybe not as Shadows don't have faces do they? Could be on to something here! Now I can be a "Darksider" and a "Shadow" and be proud of it!!! Thanks Longnine as you may have just started a new "quiet" revolution!

Paranoid, paranoid everybody's out to get me, I say they never met me,and I don't even own a T.V.(Harvey Danger)I don't own one because that,s how they get to you! It's gonna be alright though folks. Remember 1984 and the end of the world we went through with Y2K? The chaos was horrible(read business was great)!!!!! I have to go now I think someones following me. Never mind it was my shadow....but those voices just won't go away, oh it was the radio never mind. This all started after my abduction by the Feds, or aliens I'm not sure... The probes were awful! That white truck just keeps driving up and down my street. I wonder what that strange family on the corner does for a living? And those helicopters, I know what there up to. I'm also an expert at detecting subliminal Smoke Cigarettes advertising. I have to go now. I don't want anybody to know I wrote this message, just in case. See my current AVATAR?
