Apollo Pillar of the Community Canada 1610 Posts	Posted 12/25/2011 11:32 am Guys, I'm sorry this is not coin related. I've got this gold necklace, it's .375 gold (9k) and 6.3g. How do I calculate it's gold value. Here's what I did, tell me if it's correct: 6.3g X 0.375 = 2.3625 $1600 X 2.3625 = 3712 3712 ÷ 28g = $137.52 Thanks in advance! Merry Christmas! The troy oz is a bit heavier than the oz that is regularly used for other things. Also check $1600 X 2.3625 calculation because I got 3780. Otherwise, the process looks correct.
