What do you think?

the '28 Peace has a terrible strike in general.....this one has what seems to be an exceptional strike.....however to my eye it looks a bit off.....not sure what it is

Wowser. That is a smokin' strike. I lean towards real, if only because I can't imagine a counterfeit die producing such a hammered coin. That's a "first few off a new die" kind of strike. More like "AU59" than "Gem BU," but if I were in the market I'd have to take a long look at that one.

I'm thinking a technical grade of AU55 ... which has a CDN value of approx $370 ...

However ... this coin is hammered ... the best strike I have seen on a 1928 Peace ... and much better than my PCGS MS64/CAC example.

The coin is probably worth to a connoisseur multiples of CND prices ... and IMHO is under priced in the current auction.

"We"? Does that mean shadowtrooper is the co-owner-seller?

You don't have the coin yet. The coin looks real to me, but the picture has obviously been doctored and enhanced. Contrast, saturation, sharpness, they have all been changed. Look at the entire image and even just low and high spots of the coin. It's probably still a decent buy, but I wouldn't expect THAT coin to show up at your door.

That strike is crazy. Probably very early in the die life. MS, I don't think so but high end AU would be in order for this lady. Exceptional coin.

I keep looking at the date, thinking somehow the coin was a 1921 high relief Peace dollar, what a strike!

i think its a fake. the 8 is out. if you draw a line on the left of the 8 up to the mark below the neck it is to the right of the mark, on all the others to compare I have seen it is nearly in the center of the mark. and the Chinese fakes have a higher rim that normal and perhaps lighting, but it does not look like silver. I hope I'm wrong for the buyers sake.
