Any good 2012 New Years Resolutions and/or Coin Resolutions? New Year's Resolution => get back into working-out, and shed my fat, lazy twin! (40 lbs goal ... 230lbs => 190lbs) Coin Resolutions => try to purchase "nice coins", not just coins to fill holes! (ummm, although my OCD loves filling coin-holes, I find that the super-cool, error and/or valuable coins are always the coins that I view regularly) => so hopefully, 2012 is the year of the "cool coins"!

Yikes amida17 => yah, that one absolutely sucks => on January 6th, I will have quit smoking for "3" entire years (I know => it makes me want to light-up just thinkin' about it!) ... and I was an awesome smoker (1-2 packs per day => 2+ if there was booze involved!) ... anyway ... => good luck => there are horribly awful days ahead, but "eventually" there is easy sailing (well, there is sailing anyway) ... hardest thing I ever did (and that I am still doing), but good luck => don't let it own you!! => on the bright-side => there is still booze and there is "way more" cash to spend on coins! Happy New Year

Always question every aspect of a considered ebay purchase.

My numismatic resolution is simple, purchase my first silver and gold pieces, I might even go all the way and get some platinum as well Only time will tell.

I need to focus and not buy just any old thing. I need to learn more about those few coins that really interest me and get a good feel for the market for them.

Same only more like loose 60 pounds. One more is to start getting rid of excessive coins. Of course I say that one every year for as long as I can remember. That one just doesn't happen, ever. Also, one really biggy is to sort of stop buying so many coins. For 2012 I'd like to concentrate on only one type of coin. Unfortunately that too is a repeditive New Years Resolution that never happens. Quote: Gotta try and give blasted cigarettes the old heave ho...wish me luck! OH, that ones easy. All you need is like what happened to me. You just need a doctor to say "You have stage 4 Cancer"

I can never remember my resolutions anyways. When I want something done, that's it, it's done. I quit drinking back in July after that Norway tragedy. Done. Not a drop. I don't need a fictious day to get the ball rolling.
When people tell me they're going to maybe quit smoking cigarettes by weaning themselves off I know that they've already failed because their mind isn't even made up yet. You either quit or you don't. It's really that simple. You must decide in your mind and the rest is easy.

Like Amida17 I would also like to quit smoking and hopefully use that extra five bucks a day to finish my Mercury dime collection. Now if only I could quit buying other coins and focus my attention on one set.

I need to lose weight, about 85 pounds though(265-180). Stop buying junk food and save money. Use the gym membership that I have and set specific times and stick with it. And to finish 3 semesters with A's or B's at college. For coins, I need to focus on what I want and save for specific ones. I also need to find deals rather than buy coins just to buy them.
