Has anyone seen something like this before? The bottom half of the two 8's in the date are filled in a bit.I checked against other ND quarters and none of them had this.

Looks like small die chips.

Portions on the pin used to shape the centers of the digits is flaking off. Eventually it will fall off leaving the centers of the digits un formed.
