canadian-varieties Pillar of the Community Canada 1442 Posts	Posted 12/30/2011 9:41 pm I have always found this variety interesting. There are double Ds in DEI and CANADA, as well as a nice N/N in CANADA. I was wondering if anyone was aware of this variety and how common or scarce it may be. Also, has anyone seen this variety in any year other than 1892? Report this Post to the Staff

bosox Pillar of the Community United States 1352 Posts	Posted 12/31/2011 12:38 pm I wrote about these legends in Dies & Diadems. Quite a few obverse C3 dies had the doubled D's, as well as other doubled legends. I catalogued several dies used in 1891 that looked like this. 1892 had multiple dies like this also.
