Hy guys
Look at the colour difference between the 1920 penny on the left with the 1934 penny on the right.

I have a hard time knowing what a red penny even looks like. Can some one burst my bubble or make me happy...

There are three colors of pennies, brown, red-brown and red. I think yours would be considered brown .

Thanks for the info and pictures 10xloupe.

The pictures I posted are really not the true colour of the originals, but close, so it must be a brown then.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think the Canadian TPGs comment on the colour when the grade is below MS60. I don't recall seeing a coin called AU Red or AU Brown.

That's correct, the colour is only referred to in mint state. The only time it might matter is an AU gem type, so I can understand this.
