Nice collection... Did you get them from a roll or just in your change?

They are not brand new from a roll. I collect them from circulated change, but it is ok with me because colored coins are always beautiful.

Thanks Steve......will remember to give my pics names from now on. Thanks for reposting a pic.

James...(sorry, but I do not know anything about Canada coins) but in the US each year they issue uncirculated, mint proof and silver proof sets. I order one set of the Mint Proof each year "in the beginning of the year" and it arrives a few weeks later. It has all the coins encased. These coins then get released through out the year to the public. So, I have mine before any of them come out.

Is there such a thing in Canada that you can buy direct from the mint?

Very nice Dodola.... never knew about the different angles! I just have one pink ribbon and am thrilled to death to have it. I know you must be happy and proud of getting them all. Lots of work went into that to see the little differences in the angles, I bet.

Great news! I got an email just now of a real sweet man that will send me a "double poppy" quarter soon. Not sure if that is what they are officially called.

<------- am doing a happy dance right now

Hi Cajunlady0, if you like colored coins, do not forget to order the colored park quarters from the mint. Please read the below thread so that you can order them. These colored quarters are sold on face value + no tax + no shipping fee. Do not miss it before sold out.

I just checked your mint link........they do take orders from outside of Canada. I just put out a chunk of change on supplies to organize my coins, so I am broke right now. But, I will try to stay on top of your coins now. Thanks for the link Dodola! Once I know where I am with the coins I already have, then I will be looking to add a few.

This thread is just absolutely wonderful! I got another email from another sweet man offering to send me another colorized quarter. It is just amazing how helpful people have been on there with information and kindness. I really appreciate everything everyone has said and done on here.

I agree that the people on this forum are a great group of people. I too am new and have learned so much already.

Once I hit my 50 posts, I too have an abundance to coloured Canadian Quarters (breast cancer, poppies, olympics and new Parks collection) that I'd be happy to trade with one on one for some American State Quarters Cajunlady.
