I'm a pretty low roller...my most expensive was the $20 Silver Tulip Ladybug. I bought one before they were sold out so I got it for $139.95. They seem to be selling now between $225-$260 so not a bad pickup.

Someone on this forum (I believe with good reason) bought the most expensive coin I consigned at Torex.

Personally the most expensive coin I bought was bullion this year. Besides that, does the 2012 Dragon dragon silver coin count? I gave those out for Christmas via photos with bullion coins - Won't be delivered this year. I did buy a mid five figure collection in Feb because I wanted one red cent. I guess that's expensive. Won't be once Teletrade and Torex gets done though. I'm almost ashamed to say that other than a "that's really nice" I can't tell a decent US strike from a bottle cap so I let the graders sort it out. They all look round and soft to me like coins from France where as our coins tend to look crisp and angular until they started plating them... sigh.

I picked up an 1858 5 cent in XF-40 or better condition for a steal ($45) from a guy in the UK selling off his grandpas collection. Picked up a brilliant 1946 UNC King George silver dollar and a 1946 Hoof through 6 (die break) in EF-40 condition for $40 with shipping. I don't consider these too expensive but very collectable and find it very interesting the history that you're holding in your hands.

1925 5 Cents ... well actually all the semi key and key date and some variation small cents that I needed to complete my humble set as well as the same for my nickel set to date.
Probably others but I think the nickel cost me the most.
