#11. On April 9, 2006, I had an epiphany. I'd been casually shooting images of my coins for a while, for insurance purposes. I knew they weren't always such good images, but they sufficed and I really didn't feel like putting too much effort into them. I always let the camera decide what it wanted to do. On this day, I decided to turn my attention to the nuts and bolts of the process. I started playing with exposure settings and lighting. Took a bunch of sets of a random coin in the collection, and one set just reached out and grabbed me. "Hey," I thought, "this looks nice. Wouldn't it be cool if I could make all of my coins look this good?" That was the moment my obsession with coin photography started, and this is that image set:

Man, I never even considered that the 2000+ was a foul (I knew I couldn't enter any of my 1800's stuff, but I didn't even consider the other side of the spectrum!)
... *rats* ... there goes my #2 coin => 2007 Olympic Wheelchair Mule! (back to the drawing board)
EDIT => I'm gonna try to slip that 2004 coin in as today's coin and chalk-it-up as "lesson-learned", okay? (thanks)

No problem ... the funny part is, as I was attaching the Mule reverse and obverse, I thought to myself, => "self, actually anybody could 'say' that they have an Olympic Mule Wheelchair coin, because unless you can actually see the two sides of the coin together, you are merely taking my word for it that they are both on the same coin" .... => I guarantee that both of the photos below belong to the "same" coin ... man, now I'm kinda glad that I didn't wait until the end of this show to reveal the Wheelchair Mule (phew, dodged a bullet!) Man, I love Mule coins! ... and the Olympic Mule is such a faux pas, know what I mean? anyway ... I hope that you enjoyed my bonus-coin?! (this is fun)

I'll be cheating, in a way. I love Victorian coins but majority of them were minted in 1800's. This coin solves the problem. Even though there're no reverses but there's enough detail in between the cameos. Besides, if one likes coins and (s)he gets a coin with images of more coins, it's like coin heaven, right? 20 crowns from Turks & Caicos:
