This is my first Peace dollar purchase.

The scratches are on the slab...except the one ding on eagles neck.
Guess the grade...I'm still having some lighting issues on some of my photos

I will go MS-65 on this one. I didn't go any higher due to what appears to be a little bit of a weak strike. Then again I could be totally full of it too. LOL.

I'm no expert on Peace dollars either and their hard to grade because most are weak struck. That's a nice one you have there. The only real marks are on the reverse. As you said,on the eagles neck and theres a bag mark just above "ONE".I would guess its MS64.

Very very nice Peace dollar MS64. I think it is a deep strike for Peace dollars. It may even go MS65, this is a beauty!

Yeah, if the obverse scratches are on the slab, I have to believe it's MS65. Probably limited from better only by the strike and the gouge on the eagle's neck. Great coin!

You guys were right on the money....NGC MS 64, but I thought it looked like it could go 65. Very clean fields, great luster, and above average strike is how I viewed it before purchase.

Thanks for the opinions.
