I hope it stays at this level until tax return time and then shoots back up.

Testing the recent high of almost $50 looks like a sure bet to me by Easter.

Wow, you people really expecting $50.00. I thought $35.00 was quite optimistic.

A good start to the New Year the line is straight up with a 41 cent gain and still looks to be going north. Not what I expected for the first few hours.

I don't think silver will go to low because I think money is getting pretty cheap. I think in April we will be right about where we are at right now.

Heh heh... well, I'm not sure if it is optimism or plain old fashioned greed on my part!

Quote: A good start to the New Year the line is straight up with a 41 cent gain and still looks to be going north. Not what I expected for the first few hours. Not unexpected here. Scrap metals normally, but not always, have a sharp runup the first day of the year. PMs tend to mirror scrap metals. This year aluminum scrap did not budge. However, that is not totally unexpected because it did not drop like most metals did in December. By historical standards aluminum scrap should have been about 52 cents per pound here. Instead the low was 65 in December and 65 today. If aluminum scrap had been at 52 in December, I am sure it would have spiked today, too.

Well it is April and silver has been pretty much flat for the year. Nothing like last April!

Looks like silver collectors are optimistic by nature. $50 in three months would have been something, though. I'm hoping PMs stays low, myself. Easier for me to afford.

Heh! While I'm stacking, I'm all about low PM prices. The minute I buy my last ounce, watch me change my tune!
